Clinical Consultant II, Enabling Technologies – Asheville, NC
Role Overview
This field-based position delivers comprehensive clinical and technical support for advanced surgical platforms, including neurosurgery, navigation, and robotic-assisted systems. The role ensures seamless integration of technology into clinical environments by providing hands-on service, troubleshooting, and education across a defined region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical and sales teams to support on-site installations and technology-enabled procedures
- Ensure peak system performance through hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, and preventative servicing
- Provide remote and on-site technical and clinical support to hospitals and surgical teams
- Use UNIX/LINUX command-line tools to manage and modify system operating files
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for resolving repair and support issues
- Train physicians and hospital staff—including OR, Radiology, Sterile Processing, Biomed, and IT—on system operation and best practices
- Deliver 'train-the-trainer' programs to empower hospital teams to educate their own personnel
- Share clinical insights and performance tips to improve user efficiency and outcomes
- Participate in customer training events and internal knowledge-sharing sessions
- Report field observations, customer feedback, and service outcomes to support continuous improvement
- Document installations, service activities, and compliance-related information
- Support product development by sharing real-world field experience and user needs
- Attend sales meetings, training programs, and industry events as required
Qualifications
- Must reside within the assigned territory and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel frequently within and beyond the territory
- Proficiency with UNIX and LINUX operating systems
- Commitment to working within quality system and regulatory compliance standards
Work Environment
This is an onsite, field-based role centered in Asheville, NC, requiring regular regional travel. The position supports hospital teams through direct engagement and remote assistance, aligning with a mission to expand access to equitable, innovative healthcare solutions.
