At McKesson Corporation, we are committed to transforming cancer care through clinical excellence and research. We are seeking a Clinical Budget Analyst to join us remotely in the USA. In this role, you will interpret clinical trial protocols from a financial perspective, develop detailed budgets, and negotiate pricing to support the vital work of Sarah Cannon.
What You'll Do
- Create new budgets in Excel based on Sarah Cannon cost and charge data, analyzing protocols to provide detailed counteroffers to Sponsors.
- Negotiate budgets with Sponsors and CROs to achieve favorable outcomes while building relationships for future negotiations.
- Maintain and communicate budget statuses clearly to executive management.
- Proactively collaborate with clinical staff, management, and Tennessee Oncology to clarify protocol specifics, standard of care, and billable items.
- Attend protocol review, budget review, and other pertinent meetings to gather and share information.
- Perform other assigned duties and projects.
- Adhere to our Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.
- Complete all assigned training requirements by their due dates.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 1 year of work experience applying basic financial principles, using Excel, and utilizing data management tools like a CTMS.
- At least 1 year of direct experience in budget negotiation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other complex formulas.
- Familiarity with clinical research and medical terminology.
- Strong analytical decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation and professional communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Functional knowledge of clinical trials.
