Swiss Re Group is looking for a Climate Risk Intern to contribute to the development of adaptation and resilience solutions across multiple hazards and geographies. You will have the opportunity to support both methodological advancement and client-facing activities, gaining exposure to product development and applied risk analytics.
What You'll Do
- Support research and analysis of adaptation measures, including assessment of ROI and risk mitigation impacts
- Contribute to the enhancement of our climate risk reporting framework by integrating diverse data sources into client-ready outputs leveraging AI solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine methodologies and improve existing solutions
- Engage with clients to gather feedback, validate concepts and support product–market fit
What We're Looking For
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in civil engineering, natural sciences, computational sciences, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of physical climate risks, resilience strategies and adaptation planning
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with Python proficiency
- Structured, self-driven and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to physical climate risk
- Experience with AI tools such as AI Report Builder
