The City of Saskatoon is seeking a Clerk-Steno 9 to join our Parks Department. This position performs a variety of clerical and secretarial functions, reporting directly to the Clerical Supervisor. You'll be a key part of our administrative operations, contributing to the smooth running of the department.
What You'll Do
- Type, format, and process departmental correspondence, tenders, manuals, and reports, including submissions for City Council, using appropriate business English.
- Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and record and distribute minutes.
- Facilitate the procure-to-pay process by entering purchase requisitions and orders, processing invoices, and completing service entry sheets in the City's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Process and verify claims for various employee reimbursement programs.
- Assist with administrative procedures regarding seasonal Parks staff layoff and recall.
- Maintain Power Mobile Equipment (PME) operator documentation to ensure records are current and meet legislative requirements.
- Maintain various filing systems and oversee the Records Management System to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Perform receptionist duties as required.
- Enter data into spreadsheets and database systems and print reports as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 education.
- Graduation from a recognized business college.
- Typing speed of 45 w.p.m.
- Three years of diversified and progressively responsible related office experience.
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of business English and arithmetic.
- Ability to deal courteously, tactfully, and effectively with the public and civic employees.
- Skill in operating office equipment, including a computer with word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $58,509.84 to $64,506.72 CAD per annum (2026 rates).
