Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Team Lead - Liability to oversee multiple teams handling liability claims for our clients. In this supervisory role, you’ll provide technical direction, ensure quality, and manage claim activities while supporting a remote team. What You'll Do
- Supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for liability claims.
- Monitor colleagues' workloads and individual claim activities.
- Provide technical and jurisdictional direction on claims adjudication.
- Compile, review, and analyze management reports and take appropriate action.
- Perform quality reviews on claims in compliance with audit and service contract requirements.
- Act as a second level of appeal for client and claimant issues regarding claims or procedures.
- Identify and advise management of trends, problems, and recommended courses of action.
- Administer company personnel policies and staffing standards.
- Interview, hire, and establish colleague performance development plans.
- Conduct colleague performance discussions and provide support, guidance, and motivation.
- Support the organization’s quality programs.
- Travel as required.
What We're Looking For
- Six (6) years of claims experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) years of claims supervisor experience.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certifications as applicable to the line of business.
- Required licenses as necessary.
Team & Environment
You will supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff, with a wide span of control covering a minimum of seven technical operations colleagues.
