Sedgwick is looking for a Claims Team Lead to supervise the operation of multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for auto liability claims. In this remote role, you will provide technical and jurisdictional direction, monitor team workloads, and ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
What You'll Do
- Supervise multiple teams of examiners and/or technical operations colleagues.
- Identify and advise management of trends, problems, and issues; recommend course of action.
- Provide technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
- Compile, review, and analyze management reports and take appropriate action.
- Perform quality reviews on claims in compliance with audit requirements and quality standards.
- Act as the second level of appeal for client and claimant issues and implement final disposition.
- Review reserve amounts on high-cost claims and claims over examiner authority.
- Monitor third-party, litigated, serious vocational rehabilitation, questionable, and sensitive claims.
- Maintain professional client contact, make recommendations, and provide claim resumes as requested.
- Ensure direct reports are properly licensed in the jurisdictions serviced.
- Ensure claims files are coded correctly and have adequate documentation.
- Administer company personnel policies and staffing standards.
- Interview, hire, establish colleague performance development plans, and conduct performance discussions.
- Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to promote maximum performance.
What We're Looking For
- Six (6) years of claims experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) years of claims supervisor experience.
- Thorough knowledge of claims management processes and procedures for multiple product lines.
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
- Leadership, management, and motivational skills.
