Sedgwick is looking for a Claims Team Lead to supervise the operation of a team handling Auto Property Damage Claims. In this role, you will monitor workloads, provide training and technical direction, and maintain claim diaries while supporting Sedgwick's caring culture and commitment to work-life balance.
What You'll Do
- Supervise one team of Auto Physical Damage Representative technical operations colleagues.
- Identify and advise management of trends, problems, and issues; recommend courses of action.
- Provide technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
- Compile, review, and analyze management reports and take appropriate action.
- Perform quality reviews on claims in compliance with audit and service contract requirements.
- Act as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues regarding claims.
- Review reserve amounts on high cost claims and claims over examiner authority.
- Monitor third party claims; maintain periodical review of litigated, serious vocational rehabilitation, questionable, and sensitive claims.
- Maintain professional client contact; make recommendations and provide written resumes of specific claims as requested.
- Assure direct reports are properly licensed in the jurisdictions serviced.
- Ensure claims files are coded correctly and have adequate documentation.
- Support the organization's quality program(s).
What We're Looking For
- Six (6) years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) years claims supervisor experience.
- Thorough knowledge of claims management processes and procedures for multiple product lines.
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
- Leadership/management/motivational skills.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
