Canada Life is hiring a Claims Processor to join the CanOps Individual Claims Team, an important part of our Life Claims Department. In this role, you will provide timely clerical and administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our claims processing workflow.
What You'll Do
- Review and set up new life insurance claims for analysts using various internal systems.
- Accurately add new claim details to digital indices like the Death Claims Index, JIRA, and OnBase.
- Order client files from the RAM Centre via File Trail.
- Sort, review, and match incoming electronic and physical mail to digital claim files.
- Monitor and manage multiple shared Claims email mailboxes.
- Re-route received mail and documents to appropriate internal areas.
- Liaise with other departments to share client information with strict attention to privacy.
- Return paid files to the RAM Centre and prepare documents for scanning and indexing.
- Review, sort, match, and mail outgoing Claims cheques.
- Distribute weekly follow-up reports to examiners.
- Perform filing duties as needed.
