Sedgwick is looking for a Claim Examiner for our Commercial Trucking line. In this role, you will analyze and process complex auto and commercial transportation claims by reviewing coverage, completing investigations, determining liability, and evaluating damages. What You'll Do
- Process complex auto commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury, ensuring proper documentation and coding.
- Manage the litigation process for litigated claims.
- Coordinate vendor management, including the use of independent adjusters.
- Report large claims to excess carriers.
- Develop and maintain action plans to meet state contact deadlines and move files toward resolution.
- Identify and pursue subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secure and dispose of salvage.
- Communicate claim processing with insureds, clients, and agents as appropriate.
- Support the organization's quality programs.
- Travel as required.
What We're Looking For
- Five (5) years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination.
- In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial line auto policies, coverages, principles, and laws.
- Knowledge of medical terminology for claim evaluation and Medicare compliance.
- Understanding of deductibles, sub-limits, SIRs, and carrier programs.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- PC literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet service expectations.
- Ability to secure and maintain required state adjusting licenses.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business.
