Construction & Property Group is looking for a Civil Engineer - Product Development to transform ideas into reality through technical expertise and creative problem-solving. You will evaluate product strength, support design innovation, and ensure structural integrity across our new product lines.
What You'll Do
- Perform strength and stress calculations to ensure product safety, durability, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to bring innovative product concepts to life, from initial sketches to final production.
- Create and maintain detailed cut sheets, technical drawings, and engineering reports.
- Develop and refine STEP files and other CAD models for manufacturing and prototyping.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and manufacturing teams to align engineering solutions with business goals.
- Identify opportunities to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and optimize materials.
- Ensure all designs meet industry codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in product design, structural analysis, or related engineering fields.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, materials science, and load-bearing calculations.
- Experience with creating STEP files and technical cut sheets.
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility.
