About the Role
The role involves creating interior design solutions that align with client needs, project goals, and industry standards, while coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the design and implementation phases.
Responsibilities
- Develop space plans that optimize functionality and flow
- Create design concepts using industry-standard software
- Prepare detailed construction documents and finish schedules
- Select materials, finishes, and furnishings in line with project budgets
- Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines
- Conduct site assessments and measure existing conditions
- Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders
- Incorporate feedback into revised design iterations
- Ensure compliance with building codes and accessibility standards
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for materials and installations
- Manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Attend client meetings and construction site visits
- Integrate sustainable design principles where applicable
- Support senior designers with concept development and presentations
