Role Overview
Take ownership of the complete financial function for an expanding service-driven construction company. As a Certified Public Accountant, you’ll ensure financial integrity, streamline system integrations, and deliver actionable reporting to guide leadership decisions. This is a fully remote role requiring deep technical expertise and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger oversight
- Generate and validate monthly financial statements such as Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements
- Conduct accurate bank and credit card reconciliations using QuickBooks Online
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain best practices across all financial activities
- Oversee invoicing and inventory synchronization between ServiceTitan and QuickBooks Online
- Verify data consistency following the recent system migration completed in May
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between ServiceTitan and QBO to maintain data integrity
- Monitor cash flow trends and recommend strategies to improve financial stability
- Develop and track budgets, comparing actual performance against forecasts
- Produce sales pipeline and revenue reports to inform leadership planning
- Support long-term forecasting and growth initiatives with data-driven insights
- Advise on pricing, operations, and sales strategies based on financial analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams, including staff managing reconciliation tasks
- Find ways to enhance accounting workflows, reporting quality, and system performance
- Assist with audits, financial reviews, or coordination with external accounting partners
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
Preferred Experience
- Background in construction, trades, or service-based industries
- Direct experience using ServiceTitan for field service operations
- Advanced skills in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Familiarity with job costing, inventory tracking, and trade-specific accounting
- Proven ability managing budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting
- Experience working in a Remote Desktop environment
- Strong analytical mindset with clear communication abilities
- Self-directed approach with confidence advising executive leadership
