About the Role
Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, using telehealth platforms to assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for children with developmental, sensory, or motor challenges.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy sessions remotely using secure video technology
- Conduct assessments of pediatric clients' motor, sensory, and cognitive skills
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising therapists
- Implement therapeutic activities tailored to each child's goals
- Document client progress and update treatment plans regularly
- Communicate with families to guide home-based therapy activities
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Use clinical judgment to adapt interventions based on client response
- Support caregivers in understanding therapy objectives and techniques
- Track session outcomes and report data accurately
- Ensure timely completion of service documentation
- Coordinate scheduling with families and team members
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric teletherapy
- Assist in training and onboarding new therapy staff
- Respond to client and family inquiries promptly
- Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements
- Follow ethical guidelines in all client interactions
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Use bilingual skills to deliver services in both Spanish and English
Nice to Have
- Experience in school-based therapy settings
- Training in sensory processing disorders
- Certification in telehealth practice
