Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the therapy team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers in both English and Spanish.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
- Provide coverage for other therapists as needed.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of patient appointments.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Provide support and guidance to patients and families.
- Maintain professionalism and ethical standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
