SteadyMD is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Contractor) to act as a vital liaison between providers, partner programs, pharmacies, patients, and support staff. In this role, you will respond to inbound requests and assist with virtual care activities to ensure efficient patient support and communication. You'll be a key member of a fast-paced startup environment focused on results.
What You'll Do
- Receive, triage, and respond to inbound requests from providers, partners, pharmacies, and patients via calls and electronic messages.
- Assist clinicians with virtual care activities, including gathering medical history, processing medication refills, communicating test results, and providing patient education.
- Support referrals, pharmacy questions, patient portal administration, and authorizations for services, equipment, and medications.
- Answer calls and route incoming correspondence to the appropriate team members.
- Help patients and team members with video visit technology and connect patients with clinicians promptly.
- Follow all privacy policies and maintain the confidentiality of protected health information.
- Perform assigned administrative and operations duties.
What We're Looking For
- Current Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- Awareness of medical/legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with relevant guidelines, including HIPAA.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to patient age-specific needs.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to work Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm PST.
Nice to Have
- At least 1 year of experience in telehealth.
- Managerial or lead CMA experience.
