The Dutch Ministry of Defense is seeking a Cameraman to contribute to the communication of one of the largest government organizations. You will create professional video and corporate reports for the Defense Media Center (MCD), handling varied assignments domestically and internationally, which may involve irregular hours and missions abroad.
What You'll Do
- Advise clients on the audiovisual translation of communication needs based on your craftsmanship.
- Determine and agree on required personnel support for productions.
- Assemble recording sets and all necessary equipment for assignments.
- Check locations and adjust plans by coordinating solutions with all involved parties.
- Ensure subtitling and post-production by collaborating with colleagues.
- Maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders regarding new and ongoing assignments.
- Ensure your equipment is in good condition before and after an assignment.
What We're Looking For
- HBO work and thinking level.
- Extensive experience with making and editing professional footage.
- Education as a camera specialist from a recognized institute.
- Education or training in content editing.
- Education or training in item direction from a recognized institute.
- Driving license B.
Nice to Have
- Experience as a Camera-journalist (camjo).
- Experience with independently making news videos or short video productions.
Team & Environment
You will work within the Audiovisual Support department, a team with experienced colleagues collaborating to organize and execute video and photo productions effectively and efficiently.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: €3,096.00 - €4,289.00 per month.
- From 2025, employees accrue holiday allowance and year-end bonus monthly via the Individual Choice Budget (IKB), totaling 16.33% of salary.
- The IKB can be used for: up to 15% of salary for commuting cost compensation exchange, the monthly difference between commuting cost compensation and fiscal maximum, a personal bicycle, a work or study computer, an electric bike battery or parts, or payment of union dues.

This is a hybrid position based in Utrecht.
