Teleflex Incorporated is hiring a Buyer to join Global Operations, an organization responsible for product fulfilment. In this role, you will maintain consistent, uninterrupted material flow at established inventory levels and low cost, coordinating cost reduction activities and adherence to budgets.
What You'll Do
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure on-time shipments and achieve cost reductions.
- Register and maintain supplier information in the SAP system.
- Manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
- Maintain and update vendor files.
- Ensure suppliers respect and comply with contract terms.
- Support projects for new product introductions and material acquisition.
- Implement cost-reduction projects.
- Serve as the main point of contact for company-supplier relationships.
- Support the selection and evaluation of new suppliers.
- May act as an Internal Auditor.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for this function and may provide related training.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering, administration, or other relevant field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar Buyer position.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 13485.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in SAP, Agile, and APICS systems.
