VetsEZ is hiring a Business Analyst to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project as part of a fully remote team. In this role, you will lead a team through SAFe Agile software development, analyzing business problems to determine effective IT solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team and engage in all aspects of SAFe Agile software development, primarily for planning and design.
- Identify and resolve project issues and analyze complex business problems to determine an IT solution.
- Collaborate with Developers and UX/UI designers to help translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
- Coordinate documentation updates, team communications, and conduct post-project evaluation.
- Define objectives and scope of business systems and gather and analyze business data and user needs.
- Provide recommendations on hardware and software procurement to support client's business goals.
- Work closely with managers and end users to determine the best IT solution.
- Work cross-functionally with different team members and stakeholders.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure project success.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a technical discipline, or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional analyst experience.
- Experience in data analytics and programming.
- Experience designing basic UX/UI with wireframes, ability to present wireframes to clients and explain layout and functionality.
- ServiceNow and Atlassian JIRA application experience.
- Experience conducting research and analysis and experience with requirements elaboration and analysis.
- Experience teaching processes and tools to new users.
- Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tool suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio & Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication including effective documentation skills.
- Candidate must reside within the continental US.
Nice to Have
- Certifications in business analysis or Agile methodologies (e.g., CBAP, IIBA, Certified SAFe Practitioner).
- Experience with SAFe/Agile, Certified SAFe Practitioner certification.
- Experience with the VA or other Government agencies.
- Ability to obtain government clearance.
