Responsibilities
- Organize and lead collaborative sessions such as workshops and interviews to collect business needs tied to data governance, system updates, and process enhancements.
- Convert business objectives into detailed technical specifications for development and data teams.
- Assess and propose data governance technologies and platforms, aiding in their deployment.
- Support the creation and rollout of data governance policies, standards, and operational procedures.
- Perform evaluations of data quality and assist in defining rules and performance indicators.
- Lead process modeling efforts to document current data workflows, identify inefficiencies, and co-develop optimized future-state processes with stakeholders.
- Manage initial assessment and prioritization of data-related issues in coordination with relevant teams.
- Develop and oversee a consistent method for reporting and resolving data problems, ensuring documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate root cause investigations and evaluate the business impact of data issues, guiding remediation based on risk and value.
- Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and custodians to strengthen data management practices.
- Communicate insights, recommendations, and progress updates to audiences across organizational levels.
- Create training content and conduct sessions for users on new data governance processes, standards, or tools.
- Examine datasets to detect quality problems, patterns, outliers, and underlying causes.
- Conduct change impact analyses using data-driven evidence to support decision-making.
