EY is looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join the Financials Product Line within the Reporting and Data Analytics sub-function of Finance. You will act as the key connection point between the Product Line Lead, Report Advisors, and technical teams, focusing on Profit & Loss statements and People Flash reporting. Your work will drive the management of enhancements and defects for critical financial reporting tools.
What You'll Do
- Help turn solution designs into detailed requirements and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Align regularly with technical and QA teams to ensure roadmap priorities and timelines are met.
- Validate enhancements and resolved defects from both functional and data accuracy perspectives.
- Review defects and support their remediation.
- Work closely with the QA team using defined validation criteria to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support internal and external User Acceptance Test (UAT) activities.
- Maintain relevant supporting tools such as HMT, Phasing Tools, and Hierarchies.
- Work hand-in-hand with more senior Business Analysts.
- Review solutions from other product line teams to promote consistency and usability.
What We're Looking For
- 1 or more years of experience in a finance or technical department.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to flex between functional and technical conversations.
- A good understanding of EY’s financial business rules, KPIs, and key source systems like Mercury and P&B.
- Light experience with requirement documentation.
- Ability to perform data and root cause analysis.
- Problem-solving and customer orientation skills.
- A detail-oriented, analytical, and structured work approach with emphasis on quality and consistency.
- Good English skills.
Nice to Have
- Some relevant business experience within EY.
- Interest in technical solutions and data analysis; preferable knowledge of SQL, Power BI, dimensional models, and cubes.
- Some familiarity working in larger, multidisciplinary teams.
