Beco Management Inc. is hiring a Building Engineer to oversee the daily operation, routine, and preventative maintenance of a property and its physical plant. This position requires 24/7 on-call availability and a 40-hour work week, with specific hours set by the property manager.
What You'll Do
- Conduct and document routine property inspections following maintenance logs and preventive schedules.
- Report deficiencies to the Property Manager and make necessary repairs within your capability.
- Coordinate and oversee contractor repairs to ensure adherence to contract specifications and safety.
- Respond promptly to all work orders from tenants and the Property Management Department.
- Maintain inventories of expendable supplies, frequently used materials, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs, including cleaning, inspections, and contractor access.
- Assist the Property Manager with special events, promotions, and various inspections.
- Provide accurate accounting of time allocations, work order billing, cash expenditures, and utility meter readings.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of five years of experience in the field.
- HVAC experience is required.
- Ability to maintain documentation and logs for preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Proficiency with computerized systems and communications.
- An active driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Nice to Have
- An engineers license (preferred, but not required).
- A Universal CFC license (preferred).
- Experience working in a commercial or retail environment (preferred).
Team & Environment
You will receive direction from and report directly to the Property Manager.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position.
