Columbia Distributing is looking for a Brands Manager to play a key role in driving the success of our brand portfolio. You will partner with supplier representatives, sales leadership, and retail customers to translate brand strategy into strong market presence and sustainable growth.
What You'll Do
- Work with supplier representatives to create annual business plans.
- Create and implement brand focus plan objectives to include company and supplier goals for volume, profit, distribution, display, promotions, and marketing expense.
- Analyze data sources to drive improved performance within sales teams and the retail trade.
- Work with suppliers and sales teams consistently to ensure focus plans are executed, achieved, and training is performed.
- Assist the category management team to ensure brand objectives are met through the category management reset process.
- Actively participate in all sales meetings, promotional events, and training sessions relevant to brand management.
- Serve as a primary conduit between retailers, field sales, and senior management for all market intelligence.
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Manage inventory including brand forecasts and inventory expense versus budget.
- Execute the market survey (MVP) program according to company standards.
- Maintain a high level of industry knowledge for beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Core Values at all times.
- Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
Nice to Have
- Minimum five (5) years of previous sales experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of industry-specific experience.
