The F. Laeisz Group is offering a four- to six-month onboard internship (March to September 2026) for advanced students in Nautical Science/Maritime Transport or Ship Operation Technology. This practical training within a traditional yet modern shipping company provides the necessary sea time for your future degree completion.
What You'll Do
- Perform general seamanship tasks.
- Carry out daily service and watchkeeping duties on board.
- Handle safety equipment and life-saving appliances.
- For the Nautical Internship: Assist with ship management on support and operational level, and participate in cargo handling and stowage on operational level.
- For the Technical Internship: Support ship technical service on operational level and participate in maintenance and repair work.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Good knowledge of mathematics, physics, and English.
- Medical fitness for sea service in deck or engine roles.
- Valid Basic Safety Training certificate.
- A high level of commitment.
Team & Environment
You will join an international team of 800 crew members at sea and 120 employees on land, working in a strong and collaborative environment.
