About the Role
The role involves assessing client needs, developing behavior intervention plans, and supervising therapy implementation while collaborating with families and caregivers to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify client strengths and needs
- Design individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment data
- Deliver direct therapy services to children with autism spectrum disorder
- Supervise and train behavior technicians in implementation of treatment plans
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support consistency across settings
- Monitor client progress through data collection and analysis
- Adjust treatment strategies based on performance and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards set by the BACB
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Provide feedback and recommendations during progress evaluations
- Coordinate care with schools and other service providers as needed
- Support program development and quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
- Promote a positive and respectful therapeutic environment
- Address behavioral concerns using proactive and evidence-based strategies
- Foster client independence through skill acquisition programming
- Model effective communication and instructional techniques
- Respond to client emergencies or behavioral crises as required
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in all client interactions
