About the Role
This role involves managing Building Information Modeling processes for data center developments, guiding project teams in BIM implementation, and maintaining consistency in model coordination between regional and global offices.
Responsibilities
- Lead BIM implementation for data center construction projects
- Develop and enforce modeling standards and procedures
- Coordinate BIM workflows between local and global teams
- Support design teams with technical BIM solutions
- Ensure model accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Manage model integration across multidisciplinary teams
- Oversee clash detection and resolution processes
- Maintain consistent naming and file structure conventions
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings with stakeholders
- Produce BIM execution plans for project delivery
- Monitor project progress in relation to BIM milestones
- Train team members on BIM tools and best practices
- Collaborate with IT to manage software and infrastructure needs
- Ensure compliance with data security protocols in model sharing
- Integrate design changes efficiently into the BIM environment
- Optimize modeling efficiency through process improvements
- Support quality assurance checks on deliverables
- Work closely with engineering disciplines to align models
- Manage model handover to clients or contractors
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BIM software developments
- Troubleshoot technical issues in modeling platforms
- Standardize templates for recurring project types
- Ensure adherence to version control practices
- Assist in defining project-specific BIM goals
- Promote collaboration using cloud-based modeling platforms
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Certification in BIM management or related area
- Experience working in Romania or Eastern European markets
- Advanced skills in automation or Dynamo scripting
- Prior experience with large-scale mission-critical facilities
- Familiarity with Lean construction principles
- Knowledge of energy-efficient data center design
- Experience mentoring junior BIM staff
- Track record of process improvement in BIM workflows
