Responsibilities
- Resolve aging AR through root cause analysis and follow up remediation actions.
- Handle client and provider billing inquiry escalations
- Investigate, appeal and resolve denied or underpaid claims
- Resolve outstanding client and insurance balances through claims reconciliation with Managed Care payors
- Communicate with providers and support teams to correct billing issues and or provide clear answers to billing tickets.
- Other responsibilities and ad-hoc projects from time to time based on business needs.
Requirements
- High school/GED preferred
- Knowledge of insurance plans and contractual arrangements affecting payments
- Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
- 2+ years of direct customer service in the healthcare industry or related field
- 3+ years of Insurance collection experience (benefit verification, billing and collection, reconsiderations and appeals.)
- Demonstrated accounts receivable experience
- Comfort and interest in working in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and payer portals

- Experience in behavioral/mental health billing.
- Experience working in a remote setting.
