About the Role

AccessOne MedCard, Inc., a subsidiary of Phreesia, is hiring a Bilingual Patient Advocate to provide best-in-class service to health system patients from a home-based call center. You will be dedicated to making the patient payment process easy and effortless.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients regarding billing questions, account balances, payment plans, and account management via inbound and outbound calls.
  • Review patient accounts, verify balances, and provide clear explanations of statements and adjustments.
  • Use judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide accurate guidance on products, services, and policies.
  • Meet quality, accuracy, and service-level standards while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share patient insights and support continuous improvement.
  • Protect patient privacy and adhere to HIPAA, financial compliance requirements, and organizational policies.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Windows OS, and web browsers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
  • Ability to work uninterrupted 8-hour shifts with scheduled breaks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and focus.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to evaluate account details and recommend solutions.
  • Proven ability to safeguard highly confidential information.
  • Ability to respond to and de-escalate sensitive matters with patience, compassion, and empathy.
  • Spanish language fluency.

Nice to Have

  • Medical billing experience.
  • Call center experience.
