We are seeking a BI / Analytics Engineer to join our Information Technology (IT) team at Sol de Janeiro. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and analytics solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop scalable data models, and deliver insightful reporting and dashboards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence tools, with a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. This position is based in the New York Metropolitan area with a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools to support business decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity and implement data governance best practices.
- Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and recommend improvements to data architecture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BI or Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and ETL tools.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
