This entry-level role supports Account Managers and senior staff with daily client service and renewal activities, serving as a key contributor to client engagement strategies. As part of the Career Foundations Program, you’ll receive structured training to build long-term expertise in employee benefits and insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to client questions promptly, documenting interactions and resolutions
- Support open enrollment activities, including communication coordination and presentation preparation
- Review benefit plan materials for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain up-to-date client call logs and ensure timely email responses
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet deadlines and communicate potential challenges
- Develop skills in benchmarking, 5500 filings, marketing support, and cost analysis
- Complete all components of the Career Foundations Program within two years
- Attend training sessions and actively engage with assigned mentors
- Build foundational knowledge of group insurance, employee benefits, and service offerings
Qualifications
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship. A bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, risk management, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
Essential skills include strong organization, time management, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are critical, as is flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
Work Environment
This hybrid role allows team members to split time between remote and in-office work across locations including Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York City, Hartford, Norwalk, Boston, and Portland, ME.
