About the Role

Lockton Northeast is hiring a Benefits Analyst to join our Career Foundations Program, designed to train recent graduates and professionals with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience for a long-term career in benefits consulting. You will be responsible for day-to-day client service and renewal support for our account management teams.

What You'll Do

  • Respond to client inquiries, documenting communications and resolutions.
  • Provide client service aligned with team protocols, supporting the service team from strategy planning through renewal.
  • Send compliance communications as needed and manage the open enrollment communications process, including presentation support.
  • Review plan documents and materials for accuracy.
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner, typically within 24 hours.
  • Update client call logs and set clear expectations with the internal team on deliverables and timing.
  • Complete tasks within deadlines, communicating proactively about any challenges.
  • Develop proficiency in key tools and processes like benchmarking, 5500 preparations, marketing, and cost reporting.
  • Complete the Career Foundations Program within 2 years, attending all training and building a relationship with a mentor.
  • Gain entry-level knowledge of employee benefits and group insurance and develop a basic understanding of Lockton's services.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed.

  • Ability to comply with all company policies, proactively protecting confidential client and company information.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside normal business hours and travel as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exhibits strong written and oral communication.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for this position, now or in the future.

Nice to Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related program or other related field, or equivalent work experience, including human resources administration, risk management, or health policy.

Team & Environment

You will be part of a client service team, providing direct support to Account Managers, Senior Account Managers, and/or Account Executives.

This is a hybrid position based in one of the following locations: Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York City, Hartford, Norwalk, Boston, or Portland ME.
