Role Overview
As a Behavioral Health Coach, you'll deliver 30-minute video sessions through a digital mental health platform, supporting individuals in Uganda with everyday challenges that affect well-being and performance. This freelance, fully remote position allows you to set your own availability while making a meaningful impact on clients navigating work stress, procrastination, and personal development goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one telehealth coaching sessions with clients, focusing on non-clinical concerns such as time management, career direction, and relationship dynamics
- Guide individuals in identifying and working toward personal and professional goals using structured, evidence-informed methods
- Collaborate with an internal clinical team to provide feedback and suggest enhancements to coaching tools and platform features
- Maintain professional standards in client engagement, ensuring sessions remain supportive, goal-oriented, and culturally relevant
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold an active International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification with a minimum of 200 logged coaching hours, or
- Possess a Master’s degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, with at least 300 supervised clinical hours completed after graduation
Proficiency in English and a local language is required to effectively serve the community.
Preferred Experience
- Background in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
- Experience coaching or counseling working professionals or individuals in leadership roles
