Puget Sound Energy is hiring a Baker River Visitor Center Host to support the Baker River Hydroelectric Project. You will welcome visitors, provide tours and presentations, and implement educational materials, with an emphasis on education and safety.
What You'll Do
- Welcome visitors and set the tone for the visitor experience with an emphasis on education and safety.
- Provide tours, presentations and implement or interpret facility educational materials and exhibits.
- Learn Puget Sound Energy’s history and deliver authentic and consistent information relative to its history and role in the community.
- Host special visitors and public officials when required.
- Conduct outreach to targeted audiences including educational organizations to promote and sustain facility visitations.
- Coordinate with other PSE departments and with corporate programs and initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable presenting a variety of materials to new audiences and possess excellent communication skills.
- Experience interacting with the public.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and motivation.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Interested in the energy and/or utility field.
Nice to Have
- A degree in the following areas of study: History, Museum Studies, Parks and Recreation Management or a related area.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar content in a specific timeframe.
- Prior tour, museum or visitor center experience.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour.

Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at the Baker River Hydroelectric Project in the North Cascade Mountains of Washington.
