Schwape GmbH, a venture builder that transforms hidden innovation into scalable tech companies, is hiring a Backend / Platform Engineer (m/f/d). You will build the foundational platform and infrastructure that supports future tech leaders, focusing on automation, security, and reliability.
What You'll Do
- Automate testing, builds, and deployments using GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
- Improve Docker Compose setups and evaluate orchestration options like ECS, Fargate, and Kubernetes.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code with tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting with Grafana, Prometheus, and Sentry.
- Optimize performance for Gunicorn, Celery workers, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Implement rate limiting, API security, secret, and access management.
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of OOP, RESTful APIs, and SOLID principles.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Production-level expertise with Docker & Docker Compose.
- Familiarity with building Flask APIs and working with RabbitMQ, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience in performance optimization for Flask applications (Gunicorn, async, Celery).
- Awareness of authentication systems like Firebase Auth.
- Practical experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry).
- A growth mindset and eagerness to explore new technologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS (Lightsail, S3, ECS) or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Experience with automated API testing (pytest, Swagger).
- Understanding of multi-tenant application architecture.
- Background bridging DevOps and backend engineering.
