About the Role
The engineer will lead the physical deployment and validation of data center systems, ensuring all components meet performance, safety, and scalability requirements from design through operation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data center hardware configurations
- Assemble and configure server racks according to technical specifications
- Ensure proper power and cooling integration across systems
- Deploy network connectivity for high-speed data transfer
- Validate system performance during build and commissioning phases
- Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues during deployment
- Maintain accurate documentation of data center layouts
- Follow safety protocols during equipment installation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
- Monitor compliance with environmental and operational standards
- Support validation of redundancy and failover systems
- Assist in inventory management of hardware components
- Optimize cabling and physical layout for serviceability
- Integrate monitoring tools for infrastructure health
- Participate in post-deployment reviews and reporting
Nice to Have
- Experience with modular or containerized data center units
- Familiarity with automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
- Certifications in data center operations (e.g., CDCP, DCIM)
- Exposure to high-performance computing environments
- Knowledge of fiber optic cabling and termination
