TensorWave is looking for a Data Center Build Engineer to lead the deployment and integration of infrastructure during new data center builds and expansions. You will translate design plans into physical implementations, coordinating the installation of electrical, mechanical, and IT systems to ensure on-time, high-quality, and standards-compliant delivery.

What You'll Do

Oversee day-to-day construction and infrastructure deployment activities during data center builds.
Coordinate the installation of power, cooling, cabling, racks, containment, and related systems to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Interpret and implement detailed design drawings, installation guidelines, and technical specifications.
Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with design intent, industry standards, and safety protocols.
Support factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and handover to operations.
Track build progress, document changes, and escalate risks or issues to project stakeholders.
Ensure all infrastructure systems are installed, labeled, and tested according to standards and documentation requirements.
Collaborate with design engineers to resolve field changes and contribute to design feedback for future improvements.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments, preferably in data center construction or build-out projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structured cabling systems.
Familiarity with data center standards and commissioning practices.
Proficiency in construction documentation, scheduling tools, and design software.
Excellent organizational, communication, and on-site problem-solving skills.
