Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable APIs and backend services that support essential marketplace functions
- Work primarily with Node.js and TypeScript, using MongoDB as the data store
- Support and extend Python-based Django APIs that use Postgres for certain services
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams located in Amsterdam and Oslo
- Deliver improvements in high-impact domains including search, recommendations, shipping, payments, growth, and platform safety
- Promote engineering best practices by enhancing system architecture, testing, deployment pipelines, and operational standards
