eBay is hiring a Backend Engineer for its Tise division, where you will help accelerate Tise's next chapter of growth and innovation. You'll be part of eBay's global technology organization while working closely with the dedicated Tise team, operating at the intersection of a fast-moving scale-up and one of the world's largest marketplaces.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and scale our APIs and backend services that power core marketplace functionality.
- Partner closely with engineers, product managers, and designers across Amsterdam and Oslo.
- Contribute to high-impact areas such as search, recommendations, shipping, payments, growth initiatives, and safety on our platform.
- Help drive engineering excellence, improving architecture, testing, deployment, and operational practices.
- Help scale a marketplace that makes sustainable living easier and more inspiring.
- Influence key architectural decisions in a high-impact engineering role.
What We're Looking For
- Primarily work in Node.js with Typescript backed by MongoDB.
- Occasionally work with our Python Django APIs backed by Postgres.
