What You'll Do
Design and implement foundational systems that enable event-driven architecture, feature experimentation, and reliable service-to-service communication. You'll work across engineering teams to identify cross-cutting challenges and deliver reusable solutions that improve platform scalability and developer experience.
Lead the evolution of core infrastructure, from defining roadmaps to delivering high-impact features. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and technical needs into robust, observable systems. Champion engineering best practices in testing, observability, and API design across the organization.
Guide junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making. Help cultivate a culture focused on quality, ownership, and continuous improvement across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) plus 4 years in software engineering
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong coding skills in at least one of: Kotlin, Java, Python, Ruby, or TypeScript
- Experience designing automated testing strategies and implementing testable systems
- Background in building systems with strong observability, including logging, monitoring, and tracing
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Kafka for distributed event streaming
- Familiarity with gRPC for high-performance service communication
- Experience implementing A/B testing frameworks or feature flagging systems
- Demonstrated ownership over project delivery, from planning to production
- Adaptability in both independent and team-oriented environments
