당근마켓 is seeking a Backend Engineer Intern to join our Notifications organization. In this role, you will contribute to building and operating the high-scale platform responsible for delivering billions of notifications every day, ensuring stability and improving quality.
What You'll Do
- Operate the notification delivery platform to ensure billions of notifications are delivered stably every day.
- Analyze and improve logic affecting notification quality, such as user fatigue, policies, and targeting conditions.
- Analyze data like notification CTR, in-app conversion rates, and incremental contribution to verify actual performance.
- Develop or improve features of the notification/target setting tools used by service teams.
- Advance the targeting platform through segment definition, condition combination, and policy automation.
- Design A/B tests and propose improvement directions based on the results.
What We're Looking For
- Possess a mindset for structural thinking and understanding complex systems.
- Quickly execute and experiment with even small improvements.
- Communicate clearly during collaboration.
- Have an understanding of fundamental computer science knowledge like data structures, networks, and databases.
- Have an understanding of message queues and asynchronous processing structures.
- Understand communication models like REST and gRPC and be capable of designing and developing highly usable APIs.
Nice to Have
- Have experience taking ownership and operating a service.
- Continuously strive to improve low complexity and low communication costs.
- Have experience using Go and React.
- Have experience with A/B testing, experimental design, and data analysis.
- Have an interest in user segmentation, recommendation, and targeting logic.
