Kaufland e-commerce is hiring a Backend Engineer to join our international Tech & Product Team of about 400 experts. In this role, you will design scalable and robust backend solutions for the Kaufland Marketplaces, taking ownership of features from development to deployment.

What You'll Do

Design and build scalable backend solutions for Kaufland Marketplaces.
Own the full development lifecycle of features, from design and coding to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Collaborate with various stakeholders and engineers to achieve shared objectives.
Contribute to improving development processes and exploring new tools.
Write clean, maintainable, and performant code following best practices.
Mentor junior engineers through pair programming sessions.

What We're Looking For

Completed university studies in information technology, engineering, mathematics, physics, or comparable practical experience.
Extensive backend development experience with deep proficiency in PHP and/or Golang.
A solid grasp of RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Excellent communication skills and alignment with our company culture and values.
Enjoyment of working within an international, English-speaking team.
