Wealthfront is seeking a Backend Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team focused on automation, innovation, and quality-driven software development. Engineers at Wealthfront act as builder/operators, responsible for both building and operating systems in production, with a strong emphasis on eliminating toil through automation.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain systems that automate financial services for clients
- Automate the collection of data used to improve services
- Operate systems in production as a builder/operator
- Automate all testing processes — manual testing is not part of the development lifecycle
- Automate observability to ensure systems alert appropriately when failures occur
- Prioritize and invest in automation as part of planning and execution
