What You'll Do
Take ownership of maintaining and enhancing our core software platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. You'll be involved throughout the development lifecycle—from design and coding to testing and optimization—focusing on backend systems built with PHP and modern frameworks.
Collaborate with the UX team to align technical solutions with user needs, and integrate diverse data sources into unified, efficient systems. You'll refactor legacy components, implement new features, and apply test-driven development to uphold code quality.
Document system architecture and share knowledge across the team, while staying current with evolving backend technologies and methodologies. Your input will help shape technical decisions and improve development workflows.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional experience as a PHP Developer
- Strong grasp of authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Proven ability to integrate multiple databases and external data sources
- Understanding of PHP’s constraints and effective strategies to address them
- Hands-on experience with MVC frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel
- Proficiency with relational databases including MySQL and MariaDB
- Experience building and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs
- Familiarity with Agile practices: test-driven development, refactoring, and continuous integration
- Proficient with version control using Git
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders
