Fireblocks is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and developing robust systems that support a diverse range of customers, focusing on scalable products for managing digital assets on our platform. Your work will be central to our Assets domain, encompassing data modeling, processing, and analysis.
What You'll Do
- Architect, design, and implement highly robust, scalable, and resilient microservices capable of handling large volumes of concurrent transactions and data operations.
- Take ownership of end-to-end feature development across the entire backend stack, including core backend components and APIs.
- Engage in close, cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers, Design teams, and fellow Engineering teams to execute complex projects.
- Proactively enhance, optimize, and refactor existing production systems to improve performance, reduce technical debt, and increase scalability.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend or Fullstack Engineer.
- A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent knowledge of common web and SaaS software architectures.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including CI/CD, cloud platforms, and container orchestration.
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience developing SaaS products through the full product life cycle.
- Experience in researching and integrating new technologies.
- A security-oriented approach and mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with blockchain or cryptocurrency.
