Responsibilities
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage solutions, Azure Active Directory, and platform-as-a-service offerings.
- Configure and optimize networking components such as virtual networks, network security groups, load balancers, and connectivity via VPN or ExpressRoute.
- Create and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, the required tool for provisioning and managing resources.
- Develop automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Bash, YAML, and JSON within GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profile storage, and integrations with Azure AD and Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and support end-user experience in Azure Virtual Desktop deployments.
- Build, update, and resolve issues in continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using GitLab.
- Automate operational tasks, system configurations, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Enforce secure cloud configurations in alignment with federal standards, including role-based access control, Key Vault, identity and access management, and data encryption.
- Maintain compliance with NIST, Risk Management Framework, FedRAMP, and agency-specific security controls.
- Use monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to assess system performance, detect anomalies, and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and program teams to advance cloud transformation initiatives.
- Engage in regular on-site collaboration with customer representatives as required by the contract.
