Capgemini is seeking an experienced AWS Java Architect to lead complex enterprise technology initiatives. You will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture design of cloud platforms and enterprise applications on AWS, collaborating with global teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end architecture design for cloud platforms and enterprise applications on AWS.
- Define reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for cloud-native design, application modernization, and data/compute workloads.
- Architect scalable solutions using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, and related AWS components.
- Drive modernization efforts using microservices, serverless, containerization, and event-driven architectures.
- Ensure alignment with security, governance, compliance, and architectural standards across all AWS workloads.
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD, automation, observability, and monitoring strategies using CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry.
- Apply AWS best practices for IAM, networking, encryption, resiliency, and cost optimization.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and secure cloud solutions.
- Advise on AWS modernization roadmaps, the Well-Architected Framework, and cloud adoption strategies.
- Support solution design activities including effort estimation, architecture reviews, and technical assessments.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years overall IT experience with 5+ years in AWS architecture.
- Proven expertise designing and delivering AWS-based platforms, applications, or enterprise cloud solutions.
- Background supporting large-scale, multi-domain enterprise environments.
- Deep hands-on experience with core AWS services: Compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS), Storage (S3, EFS, Glacier), Integration (API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS/SNS), Databases (DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS), and Networking (VPC, Transit Gateway).
- Strong knowledge of microservices, serverless, containers, REST APIs, and distributed architecture patterns.
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps engineering practices.
- Understanding of security, identity, compliance, and AWS governance frameworks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in global, distributed teams.
- Passion for innovation and engineering excellence.

- Exposure to AI/ML enablement on AWS (SageMaker is a plus).

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation Range: $86,900 to $203,800
