About the Role

Capgemini is hiring an AWS Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop cloud-native applications on AWS, build robust microservices architectures, implement infrastructure automation, and ensure security and compliance standards are met.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop cloud-native applications using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, and S3
  • Build microservices-based architectures using serverless or containerized models
  • Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
  • Create Infrastructure as Code using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment workflows
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
  • Ensure smooth deployments following DevOps and GitOps best practices
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Implement AWS security best practices including IAM roles, policies, secrets management, and encryption
  • Work with security teams to ensure compliance with standards like SOC2, HIPAA, and PCI
  • Conduct code reviews and infrastructure audits
  • Configure monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, X-Ray, AWS Config, and GuardDuty
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure or application issues
  • Optimize cost efficiency across AWS services

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Cloud Application Development using AWS services
  • Proven experience building microservices-based architectures
  • Hands-on experience implementing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure Automation using IaC tools (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK)
  • Experience automating provisioning, configuration, and deployment workflows
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of DevOps and GitOps best practices
  • Experience implementing AWS security best practices
  • Experience working with security compliance standards
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting in AWS
  • Experience optimizing cost efficiency across AWS services
