Jerry.ai is looking for a freelance Automotive Content Editor to review, refine, and elevate articles written by expert auto mechanic writers. You'll ensure every piece is clear, accurate, on-brand, and genuinely helpful to everyday drivers as we revolutionize how people care for their cars.
What You'll Do
- Edit and proofread articles (800–1,500 words) on car repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance.
- Simplify complex automotive concepts for non-technical readers.
- Enforce style guide, SEO best practices, and editorial standards.
- Check factual details against reputable sources and manufacturer recommendations.
- Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve content quality.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to maintain voice and prioritize content updates.
What We're Looking For
- Strong automotive knowledge for fact-checking repair processes, maintenance intervals, and parts terminology.
- Editorial experience editing or managing automotive content for digital publications, manuals, blogs, or consumer guides.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals (keywords, headers, meta data).
- Excellent communication skills to polish technical drafts into engaging content.
- Detail-driven and deadline-reliable approach.

- Background as a former mechanic, service advisor, or long-time auto writer/editor.
