About the Role

Tractor Supply Company is hiring an Auditor to perform assurance and consulting services and audits of business processes at the Store Support Center (SSC). In this role, you will help the Company accomplish its objectives by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a detailed understanding of business processes, risks, and controls across the Company.
  • Identify risks and internal controls and develop audit procedures required to evaluate those risks.
  • Compile and evaluate information to develop conclusions about risks and the operating effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Keep supervisor informed of project status and ensure projects are completed by established deadlines.
  • Prepare working papers in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors’ International Standards.
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls and document testing.
  • Assist the Company's External Auditors by researching requests, obtaining documentation, and performing testing.
  • Work with business leaders to identify solutions to problems, improve processes, and strengthen controls.
  • Prepare audit reports and discuss results and recommendations with management.
  • Supervise and review the work performed by other Internal Audit team members as directed.
  • Assist other team members by providing operational and financial expertise.
  • Attend and participate in professional group meetings and continuing education and assist in training.
  • Perform ad hoc appraisals, inspections, and investigations as requested by management.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of audit or related business experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Skilled in relating to all kinds of people; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled with gathering, documenting, and evaluating information to solve difficult problems.
  • Knowledge of the indicators of fraud.
  • Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting risks and internal controls.

Nice to Have

  • Retail experience.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Knowledge of key information technology risks and controls and available technology-based audit techniques.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
