Bourns, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented QA Auditor I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical and visual auditing of all production processes to ensure the required level of quality is maintained as required per prints, control plans, and procedures. Your work documenting audit results will be crucial for maintaining traceability.
What You'll Do
- Work under the close direction of a designated supervisor.
- Set up and perform dimensional testing using automated computer-controlled measuring equipment.
- Perform mechanical tests and audits using various micrometers, calipers, comparators, toolmakers microscope, scales, height gages, dial and test indicators, plug, pin, and ring gages, surface roughness, and thread gages.
- Record audit results and report non-conformances to the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to perform basic shop math (decimals, percentages, and fractions).
- Ability to adequately read and record data accurately and neatly.
- Working knowledge of statistical process controls.
- Ability to understand traceability records, W/O’s, reject tags, ID tickets, variances, stop productions, and basic quality procedures.
- Must understand the need for and possess skills to perform precise, repeatable, and accurate measurements.
- Have a working knowledge of sampling plans.
- High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math functions (decimal, percent & fractions).
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
- Ability to interact well with all departments to achieve company objectives.
- Requires good oral communication skills.
- Requires good writing skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with various test equipment is preferred.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $18.60-$25 hourly.
