About the Role
The engineer will provide technical support for Atlassian products, diagnose system issues, implement fixes, and work with teams to improve tool adoption and performance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems in Atlassian applications
- Support users across departments in effective platform utilization
- Monitor system performance and recommend optimizations
- Troubleshoot integration issues between Atlassian and other tools
- Document technical procedures and known issue resolutions
- Assist in upgrading and patching Atlassian environments
- Collaborate with administrators to enforce security policies
- Respond to service requests within defined service level agreements
- Configure workflows and permissions in Jira and Confluence
- Provide guidance on best practices for tool usage
- Evaluate new features and assess organizational impact
- Assist in data migration and system restoration activities
- Maintain accurate records of support tickets and resolutions
- Work with development teams on custom plugin support
- Ensure compliance with internal IT standards
- Support onboarding of new teams to Atlassian platforms
- Identify recurring issues and propose long-term solutions
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents
- Assist in performance testing after system changes
- Coordinate with vendors for escalated support cases
Nice to Have
- Atlassian Certified Professional credential
- Hands-on experience with Data Center deployments
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Background in SRE or platform engineering roles
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
