About the Role
The assistant waiter will assist in delivering quality food and beverage service to guests, maintaining cleanliness of dining areas, and supporting senior staff in daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival in a courteous and welcoming manner
- Present menus and provide basic information about food and drink offerings
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen or bar staff
- Serve meals and drinks following established presentation standards
- Monitor tables throughout the dining experience to anticipate guest needs
- Respond promptly to guest requests and special requirements
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service begins
- Clear used dishes and reset tables efficiently between guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations
- Support the cleaning of dining rooms and restrooms as needed
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols at all times
- Assist with restocking supplies and beverages during shifts
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Handle cash and process payments under supervision
- Report any equipment issues or maintenance concerns
- Adhere to uniform and grooming standards
- Attend pre-shift briefings and team meetings
- Follow instructions from supervisors promptly and professionally
- Uphold guest privacy and confidentiality
- Assist during peak hours to ensure smooth operations
- Respond appropriately to guest feedback or complaints
- Support special events or private functions as assigned
- Maintain awareness of table status and seating arrangements
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations

Compensation
