FCCI Insurance Services is hiring an Associate Underwriter to support the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial lines customers for our Florida Region.
What You'll Do
- Assist with gathering underwriting information on renewal and new business accounts and work with agencies to obtain missing information.
- Approve, modify, or decline all transactions like MVR checks, audit changes, and endorsements within your assigned authority level.
- Review all endorsement requests, gather missing information, and approve and provide issuance instructions within designated authority.
- Handle the renewal underwriting of less complex accounts based on authority levels and assigned premium thresholds.
- Prepare appropriate underwriting file documentation on accounts within your authority and support the Underwriter with documentation outside of authority.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in commercial lines underwriting or a related insurance role.
- Ability to exercise underwriting judgment and make decisions within a defined authority.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with agents and internal teams.
