The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board is hiring an Associate Software Tester to support testing activities across the full software development lifecycle for Member Services strategic initiatives. You will collaborate within a cross-functional agile team to bring new features and platform enhancements from conception to release.
What You'll Do
- Participate in requirements gathering, test plan creation, automation of software development, test plan execution, results analysis, root cause identification, AI augmentation, and ensuring sufficient code coverage.
- Address regression failures and investigate production issues.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of quality standards.
- Participate in the planning of software development, testing, deployment tasks, and maintenance.
- Develop and communicate personal work plans and task details appropriate for the on-time completion of all work assignments.
- Maintain currency in technological trends and directions through research, education, and self-motivated technology experimentation.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education.
- Practical knowledge of standard software development and testing best practices.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Experience with testing automation tools such as TestNG, JUnit, JMeter, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Understanding of testing strategies including unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
Nice to Have
- Experience with delivery tools such as GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, and Sonar.
